The Book of Coming Forth By Day is a translation and ethical commentary on one of the most important and well-known ancient Egyptian sacred texts.

Misnamed The Book of the Dead by European Egyptologists, the text centers around a process which involves breaking the bonds of death and coming forth spiritually into the light that lasts for eternity.

This volume focuses on Chapter 125, "The Declarations of Innocence," in The Book of Coming Forth By Day, and explores the ancient Egyptian ethical ideal in terms relevant to modern moral discourse, including right relations with the Divine, Nature and others.
